Just been watching the lunchtime news. They've been prattling aboot the same non-event for over 35 minutes a'ready.

Seems that absolutely nothing of importance has happened at a' the day.......... And, nae doot we'll be getting changes tae the nicht's programmes so that the matter can be discussed further.

I does seem a like a bit of overkill (esp if you are in a whole different country, really), but mibbe it's like thon Diana Spencer thing - seemed to go on for ever, so every day was a case of oh, still dead, is she?"

The first 15 pages o' ra day's Guardian, plus anither 2 later one, plus some blether aboot the impact o' thatcherism on British theatre and then plus a hale fuckin' suppliment aboot hur...........!

And it jist got wurser an' wurser. Ah picked up a copy o' ra Sun in ra pub. Page 3 wis pushed back tae page 11......... and even then, Ah wiz feart tae look in case......  Naw. naw......... calm doon, dosser: that's ower horrible tae even think aboot.

Ah....... dae ye mind the guid auld days when we yased tae laugh aboot things? No' jist the brilliant Firstfoot annat. Even when it wiz gone, we still found things tae laugh aboot.......... Like a couple o' years back when fowlk wiz pishin' thursel's wi' laughter ower a' they daft North Korean numpties an' thur hysterical outpourins o' pantomome grief when Kim Jong-ilpopped his clogs....... Ah, happy days, eh!
