Ah'll no' bother yiz wi' why this came tae mind..............

Years ago, when Zimbanwe wiz still ca'ed Rhodesia, Ah wiz watchin a documentary aboot Rhodesian special forces whit wiz bein' trained-up tae gang inta the bush fur munths at a time tae seek oot rebel groups.

They wiz bein taucht how tae find watter and forage fer any'hin they cuild eat annat. During ther training, they rarely got any meat as part o' ther rations and, when they did, it would be "off" as a matter of policy.

How far could you go with this? Some veggiebuls start tae produce toxins as they decompose. Does animul flesh dae the same, or would thorough cooking make it safe to eat no matter how rotten and decomposed it was?

Onywye this mannie says it's nae safe tae eat rotten meat (nae shite Sherlock!) but ye kin safely eat the maggots that are feedin on it. There ye go... enjoy!

Ah'll stick tae bein a vegimatarian.
