http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/8084086.stm

See if ye cannae W*** out, in a polling station, how to put an x on a big bit of paper next to the folk you want to vote for, then you're just too bloody stupid to be allowed to vote.

There's a good name for a party

Excellent busy news day today, on the telly and the wireless. Couldnae make it up. Barking madder and madder and madder.

Duvet over head time... I cannae afford to stay this absolutely scunnered this long. Bad for the blood pressure. Parcel o rogues disnae come into it.

Confused

Ah see it mair as a indykashin o' the hale UK's contempt fer Europe.

Did ye notice hoo many o' the perties (no' jist UKIP) wiz anti-Europe?

That wiz a very important election fowlk jist dismissed as if it wiz furra a local Parish Cooncil or sumthin.

Personally, in spite o' it's many flaws, Ah wid be happy tae live in a Federal Europe - always providin' Scotland ceased tae be pert o' Britain furst. Being' British jist means bein a disenfranchised Murcan these days. Ah want tae be Scottish and European.

Lo ese mony moons ago fan they hud jist brocht in they cheap travel roon Yurp tikkit thingies fur unner 24s sum freens an me went backpackin. Maist folks we met, speshully in French France, thot we wis British (meanin English) an we wisny treatit nice attaw. Ra follyin year we didit again, iss time wira boys werrin thur kilts, folks cuidna dae enuff fur us. We got a grand welcome ay pless we went an a guid few free meals/beds on ra strength o bein Scots.

Ah hud decidit ages afore iss at ah didna want tae be kent as British, indeed ah used tae pit Scottish oan application forms an such whenivver ah cuid get awa wi it. Thon twa trips served tae prove tae me (if ah hud ony doots) at bein Scots is a guid thing, bein Yurpeen is a guid thing. But, bein British... Blech!

Ra Welsh an us is ra last colonies o a defunct empire. Ra sooner wur free o it ra better.

Many moons ago my NZ sec & a few of her friends were "doing" Europe in a beat up Combi van.

They got stuck in a long long queue between Italy & Austria(caused by some strike or other) a Italian customs car came down the queue checking it out it screeched to a stop when they saw their Combi plastered in NZ flags
He walked over all serious & official & told them to follow him. Girls were a bit worried. They drove 5km up to the very front of the queue . Customs officer told them he had been a POW in NZ in WW2 & had received great kindness & this was him repaying some of it.

Fey  the young lady came from Blenheim
