Hmmm.... We've hud a few wurds fae me, but pipedoon seems tae huv pipeddoon and mcintyre seems tae hae a mcinpuncture.

Whaur ur ye?
me

diz seem a bit on the quiet side tho

maybe theyve nothin to respond tae
mcintyre

That's uncanny,McInpuncture, jist aboot describes the situation. Ane or twa medical things cought up wi me, a' expected, except the timin'. Things were slashed, removed and pored over durin' a mini-tour o' hosipiddles. So far, the sometimes maligned Gartnavel gets a tap score fae me. Except fur the food, ane o' the nurses agreed wi' ma assessment, and said as soon as Ah could eat Ah cud gae tae a nearby Wetherspoons, as long as she could come tae.Anither nurse moved me oot the ward in the middle o' the nicht because a poor bugger wis makin' some noises in ma ward. An', believe it or no, a third ane gied me a kiss ane nicht. Add tae that, they prescribed some feckin' great medication. Fower staurs at least fae me.
dosser

Jeezo! Sorry tae hear aboot yer troubles annat.

Gartnaval soonds like the auld Embru Royal - a shite place run by sterling, wunnerful fowlk.

Jist go oan gettin' better, eh!
mcintyre

Cheers, Dosser, tae be honest ther's a helluva lotta folk in there wi' real problems compared wi' me. It wis a new experience fur me no'withstandin' ma advanced years. Wi' ma lifestyle Ah cannae complain! But it's true about the Hospital workers, they're tops.
Celyn

Eek   Surprised        I'm glad Macintyre has no avatar, 'cos now I imagine him as a bike tyre with a nice new puncture repair patch on it.

Glad you survived the hospital.   It's funny, thon stereotype of taking grapes and flowers to visit a hospital, whereas in reality I'm more likely to be taking along raw veggie salads, newspapers. etc.

A friend of mine years ago cheated - or rebelled  - and he and others in the ward ordered in delivery food from a Indian or Chinese takeaway shop.  Can't imagine that was all that healthy either, though.

thank fuk you wurnae in inverclyde royal then - its a shithole wae a fer chunk of the biggest wankers ah huv ever met working in it - which ferr take ra shine aff ra decent staff
mcintyre

Aye, I've heard horror stories aboot hospitals, sorry tae hear Inverclyde's
ane o' the bad yins. I've had dealin's with Gartnavel, Crosshouse Hosp. and, strangely, Ninewells, a' recently, fur a couple o' different things, an' couldnae fault ony o' them. The staff were a' great, up fur a bit o' banter but professional wi' it, an' they sorted me oot.
Celyn

Try to avoid going to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.  I have nothing against it as a hospital - it's simply that the place is so bloody impossible to find your way round that you would never have any visitors and  you would starve to death.   Crying or Very sad    Although if you stay in for several weeks, people gradually manage to get through the maze.

i always thought the royal was quite easy to navigate....where as the western on the other hand ffs.....gps is required to find anything in there.

suppose its cause im more used to the royal tho

Right then, matey, next time I have someone in the Royal, I can hire you as a guide.  Laughing      Please, pretty please?  Oh but then I would be hiring "me" as a guide for me.

Now seriously,me, I have no idea what your speciality is as regards career, and very few people's jobs are safe these days, but if you (i.e.  me) should ever find yourself unemployed, then you won't ever need to worry.  An ability to find your way around GRI would make you indispensable and could make you very rich if you exploit your orienteering skills to help lost people such as I.

(It is most confusing to be writing "you" when I mean "me" -  the "me" that is you, that is, member namedmeme, not the me that is me. Or is it the  "me" that is "I"?)

Duz we needz grammar forumz?    Idea

Or fora?

Smile

I think I was only once in the Western to visit, and I remember being very annoyed at bad spellings on their directional signs.  But that was just me being an irritable wee git when I was young.      Embarassed

Nowadays, of course, I am not like that at all.   Oh perish the thought, Oh, heaven forfend.

I am even better at being  irritable (older) git.  Yeah!  See, I make progress!   Smile
